As a provider, I include patients and their family/caregivers in the discussion of their treatment plans. I want my patients to be actively involved in the conversation regarding their healthcare and the treatment decisions that are made. I am a great listener and take time to make sure patients really understand their conditions and treatment plans. Because all cases are unique, it’s important to provide individualized care planning.
I’ve always enjoyed helping people, which is why I became a nurse in the first place. I also enjoy problem-solving which makes being a nurse practitioner so appealing. I have a passion for patient education and preventative health and enjoy providing quality education and treatment plans that help improve the health of patients and the community. I think it is important to do as much as possible to prevent diseases from occurring, rather than trying to treat and manage the condition.
It’s rewarding to help people feel better and improve their health and well-being.
