Sometimes our busy lives can influence our symptoms. That’s why I listen both to what patients tell me about their symptoms and their lives to look at the patient as a whole person instead of just looking at the symptoms.

I started my nursing career in emergency medicine and loved it. The variety of patients encountered on a daily basis was something I enjoyed. I still experience that variety in the FastCare setting. Seeing patients on a walk-in and as-needed basis and saving them a trip to the emergency room when their doctors’ offices are busy is a great feeling.
