My approach to care centers on being both an advocate and an educator for patients. I aim to communicate complex genetic information in a clear, meaningful way that relates to patients' lives and empowers them to make informed decisions.
I enjoy my job because it allows me to help patients understand the potential causes or explanations behind specific medical conditions in their personal or family history. I offer insight into complex genetic information to help gain clarity, which often can bring a sense of understanding and relief. This blend of personal connection and educational impact makes my work rewarding.
I chose a career in genetic counseling because it offers me the opportunity to build meaningful connections with patients while also engaging in a field that allows for continuous learning and professional growth.
