I take a holistic approach to physical therapy, taking into consideration the patient’s past experience, beliefs, values and attitude when implementing a treatment plan. I believe movement is good medicine for healing and work with my patients to increase their capacity for activity.

I enjoy working closely with patients to meet their goals and improve their overall health and well-being. I appreciate the opportunity to teach patients how to take an active approach toward healing to feel empowered to make positive lifestyle changes.

I was drawn to this profession due to suffering from multiple over-use injuries that I sustained while training for the sport of triathlon in my youth and adolescent years. I was motivated and encouraged by the physical therapist I worked with and wanted the opportunity to positively influence the lives of others. I have my clinical competency certificate in aquatic therapy and specialize in this area. I work in the water with about one-third of my patients to utilize the properties of water to improve mobility and pain.

I believe strongly in the mind and body connection of healing. I am trained in adaptive tai chi and integrate this practice into physical therapy intervention.
