About Me
The relationship between a patient and a physician is one that comes with great responsibility and trust. I find it valuable to learn about my patients, not only in regard to medicine, but where they come from, what brings them joy, and what future goals they have. When I can connect with my patients on this level, I believe I provide them with better care that aligns with their individuality and values. It’s this opportunity to connect with people that I find most rewarding.
As an internal medicine physician, my training provided me the opportunity to pursue multiple, diverse research areas to practice medicine across the entire spectrum of clinical care. I am also trained in pediatrics and have the privilege of treating both children and adults with complicated medical problems.
I was born and raised in a small town tucked away in the heart of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Those small-town values I grew up with—being humble, kind and honest—have helped shape me into being a compassionate physician.
