About Me
I try to educate and inform all of my patients about their cancer, as well as the treatment they are about to undergo. I think that by removing the mystery around their care, it can relieve their anxiety, help get them through their treatments and improve their outcomes.
In choosing the very rewarding field of radiation oncology, I was able to combine my interest in the clinical care of patients with my interest in cutting-edge technology from my engineering background.
I spent over 10 years at the University of Michigan, with my last appointment as an assistant professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology. During that time, I performed basic science research in the field of advanced radiation therapy treatment technologies, and I led clinical trials for the treatment of prostate, liver and lung cancers.
