About Me
Patients find that I am an approachable provider who possesses all the up-to-date clinical skills and expertise to manage their care. I am also a teacher who loves to teach, an academic leader who welcomes innovations and clinical trials, and a friend and a neighbor who lives and works in the same community as my patients. I am devoted and invested in the success of our hospital, families and community.
Every patient is unique, and I tailor care to meet each patient’s needs, working to resolve their symptoms and improve their quality of life.
I come from a family of physicians, all living in the United States. My father is an oncologist, my mother is a family physician, my older brother is an orthopedic surgeon, and my sister is in dentistry. My wife is also a physician.
Teaching and improving the field of cardiovascular care has been a big part of my career. I recently served as director of arrhythmia services at Omaha VA Medical Center and as an assistant professor in the school of medicine at Creighton University. I worked to revolutionize arrhythmia care for veterans by revamping and revitalizing my clinical division at Omaha VA Medical Center.
